Remembering Pearl Harbor – December 7, 1941

Dear Commons Community,

Today throughout the country veterans groups will be remembering the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, that President Franklin Roosevelt declared as “a date which will live in infamy.”   2,403 Americans were killed and 1,143 were wounded during the surprise attack by the empire of Japan that plunged America into World War II.  See President Roosevelt’s speech above describing the attack.
