Going Home Today after Four Days at the OLC Accelerate Conference

Dear Commons Community,

Today I fly home to New York after four days at the OLC Annual Accelerate Conference.  Yesterday I attended several presentations. The highlight for me was attending the presentation of and seeing my colleague Eric Fredericksen (University of Rochester).  Eric and I have been friends since the 1990s when he was at SUNY Albany.  His presentation entitled, The Changing Landscape of Online Education (CHLOE), focused on the latest findings from a survey of senior leaders in online learning.  CHLOE covers numerous vital topics, including online demand, student support services, data strategies, digital divide, and AI investments.  His co-presenters were Richard Garrett (Eduventures) and Kristen Gay (EDUCAUSE).   After the presentation, Eric and I had a casual lunch and caught up with our professional and personal activities.

I am looking forward to going home!
