Rome – Ostia Antica!

IMG_0321 Ostia I

Dear Commons Community,

Ostia is Rome’s ancient seaport.  It was abandoned in the 5th Century after the fall of Rome.   Today you can see ruins (Ostia Antica) from 300-400 CE.  Below are several photos from our afternoon there.

  1. Few know that a few miles from Rome there is the city of OSTIA, which is certainly something to see, the city buildings, apart from the ruins, are also beautiful. Thanks for posting these beautiful photos.
