Dear Commons Community,

The Association for Educational Communications & Technology (AECT) announced yesterday it will be giving its 2022 Division of Distance Education award to Lauren Cifuentes  for her book, A Guide to Administering Distance Learning (Leadership and Best Practices in Educational Technology Management)

The notification from AECT to Lauren  reads:  “You are to be commended for your contribution to the field of distance learning. There were many worthy submissions from which to choose this year, and the reviewers felt that your submission best embodied all of the criteria set forth by the Division of Distance Learning for this award.”

I had the privilege of writing a chapter for this book.  It was a pleasure working with Lauren and the other authors.
